The difference between a beautiful view and a good investment

A view sells a property. It does not, on its own, make it work financially.
Access, parking, building quality, running costs, season length and the ease of managing the property from abroad usually matter more over ten years than the panorama.
The best outcome is when both align — but when they do not, it is worth being clear with yourself about which one you are actually buying.
Nothing here should be read as a projection of returns. Property performance depends on many factors and can go down as well as up.
