The transaction is a moment. Ownership is a long relationship with a place.
Utilities need transferring, taxes need registering, and the property needs someone who can open the door when a plumber arrives in February.
This is the part of the process that is most often overlooked before purchase and most valued afterwards. It is also the reason I stay in contact with clients years after the signing.
